THL signs a deal with Wall of Sound

Our dear new member AHEAD OF THE GAME kindly posted about this fantastic news in the December thread, but I think this deserves a thread on it's own.

Stig your link for wall of sound wikipedia went to a Phil Spector's Wall of Sound.  I went to the actual wikipedia for the record label, couldn't find The Human League posted.  Did we jump the gun?  smile sad big_smile

Additional information:

The band signed the deal with the MD of WOS Mark Jones in London at 10.30am on Friday 11th December, the night before they played a low key private gig for 500 invited guests in a purpose built transparent venue inside the ruins of Battersea Power Station, the first people ever to do so as all previous shows at BPS had taken place in the car park outside the building because the interior was considered too dangerous.

I'm so happy for the band - I'm a big fan of Röyksopp, who also appear on the label, and they have had a massive promotion for their album and singles - so fingers crossed!

This is great news!  I wouldn't be surprised if longtime fan Stuart Price (who releases stuff as Les Rythmes Digitales on Wall of Sound) had something to do with this.  In fact, maybe he can help produce, now that he's finished with Madonna.  smile

Actually, I just noticed this and it's nonsense - I saw Morrissey play there and it definitely wasn't in the car park!  big_smile  It was indoors.  But it's nice that the League were the first to play in this new addition to the venue.
