This deserves a thread on it's own, I think.

Here are some facts:

1. Philip didn't roam the internet in this matter, as stated by some newspapers.
2. Track is done and finished.
3. Philip only contributed the vocals.
4. Duet + individual singing by both.
5. Track is called 'Symmetry'
6. Track is from her forthcoming album.

Hi Stig, as I noted on the other thread the fake phils facebook mentioned Little Boots and the tenori-on so do you now think there was there some inside info?

The person faking Phil must be in the business because I asked some questions via facebook to "Phil" about programming and operating problems I was having with my synths and he answered swiftly and resolved my issues so I keep wondering... he also put me in touch with a guy who repairs kit for THL and he sorted out a couple of my vintage boards.

Spooky indeed, I assumed the facebook was a fake and added "Phil" just for a laugh and try and wind him up a bit, but I keep thinking it might be someone close to the real Phil to get some of that info. He gave me a hotmail addy to send him some patch files and got some patches back in return with THL sounds?

Hi ED the email I was sending too was poakey@hotmail address not a johnfoxx one?
I never thought it was the real deal but some of the info I got was useful so its someone in the know about synthesisers.
agreed on the status updates they were weird, I got an email from someone called Martin Mullholland saying the Phil I was talking too was a fake as he had had some info from the mgmt company sent to him.

Victoria mentions her album in a US interview before appearing on the US Carson Daly Show tonight, which she'll probably mention Phil again:

nice song the bit i have heard, IS Anyone else up for the gig Little boots at Preston I have it in my diary for Thursday12th March.. I will try my best to be there... a good night I think... It would be nice to meet up with some more league fans before the gig...
OTHER NEWS... I am now mixing Vocals for a few new tracks which I am hoping to have online for early July..and yes a League cover song is being also being attempted but i will not be naming which one until i am happy with it...

THL and LB are on the same bill at Evolution. It'd be nice if Phil came on stage with Vicky to do a live preview of this. Would be a big media boost for both THL and LB.

Its a good idea, so it won't happen of course.

One of this week's Popjustice Songs Of The Day was supremely ropey so to make up for it today's is a total corker - a brand new duet between Little Boots and The Human League's Phil Oakey.

Sometimes tracks make you wonder why people like 'Duffy' or 'The Eagles Of Death Metal' bother getting out of bed in the morning and here's one of them: the lyrics are all "you're the night to my day and the left to my right, the blood to my veins and the dark to my light, the start to my stop and the constant beat to my heart", so this is a proper duet (ie a song written for two people, not just sung by two people). It also has a massive chorus, an even bigger bit straight after the chorus, an incredible spooky spoken word middle eight and a mysterious pulstating finale.

Amazingly the clip Boots has allowed us to play you today cuts off just before the chorus, in which Victoria and Phil sing "love me in perfect symmetry, be my everything, if you just love me in perfect symmetry, only you can make me feel complete". This is basically an amazing song which makes a brilliant addition to what was already shaping up to be an excellent album.
